The Beginners Worship Guitar book is a unique, practical, song-based introduction to worship guitar playing. This course needs no previous knowledge of the instrument and students learn to play their first worship song on their first session!

Essential chord shapes are examined - the five main guitar keys (C, G, D, A, and E) and their chord families are explored using a number of worship songs as practical illustrations of each key. Students learn basic concepts of rhythm, and practice various rhythmic exercises on the guitar with easy, accessible, digital and media resources to help at home or on the go.

Over the ten sessions a repertoire of contemporary worship songs is built up by worship leaders and songwriters such as Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, and Martin Smith.

By the end of the 10 sessions, beginner guitarists can begin to lead worship using contemporary songs in the context of a home group or a prayer meeting.
